“Rogue” is based on the true story of one man’s mission to help the people living on the streets of London.

New Zealand born Michael Renno - a successful actor by profession - took to the streets of London with the mission to help the homeless. Finding himself forced to use unapproved methods within a system that often prioritized business and administration over human needs, he earned the nickname “Rogue”.

Michael invites us to follow along with him on some of his most memorable interactions on the streets from 2008 – 2018. With him, we meet and experience a handful of powerful characters who teach us something about the harsh realities of life on the streets. We witness what happens when red tape and forbidden love threaten to undo Michael, ultimately giving us all the opportunity to discover hope within a new understanding and redefining of the true meaning of “home”.
With the inventive use of music, narration and multimedia, this new New Zealand play presents raw portrayals of real people in a poetic way, shedding new light onto these challenging situations.
